Fund Update
Transparency is at the core of how Ackee Seed Foundation operates. As we begin disbursing the funds raised through our GoFundMe campaign, we want to be clear and specific about where every euro is going.
Disbursements 1
Food for the Poor
Amount: €1,000
Purpose: In support of Food for the Poor's ongoing hurricane relief and community support efforts across Jamaica, with a focus on providing aid, supplies, and support to those most affected by Hurricane Melissa and those in disadvantaged circumstances.
Status: Donation made.
Disbursements 2
Daniel Town Primary School
Amount: €1,000
Purpose: School equipment, canteen and food supplies, and the daily operational needs of the school and its students, as agreed in the signed fund use agreement between both parties.
Status: Transfer in progress.
Disbursements 3
Additional School Partner Amount: €1,000
Purpose: Aid and supplies directed toward a second partner school in the Trelawny area. We are currently in the process of identifying and confirming the right partner to ensure the funds reach those most in need in a responsible and accountable way.
Status: In progress
A small portion of the funds raised has been allocated to cover the essential administrative costs of running the Foundation. These costs are necessary for the Foundation to operate credibly and sustainably, and are fully documented in our internal records.A Note On Our Bank Account
All Foundation funds are now held in a dedicated Triodos Bank account, used solely for Foundation transactions. Prior to the account being approved, funds were held securely in a proxy account while we navigated the process. Every transaction is documented and traceable.
We will continue to publish fund updates as disbursements are confirmed.
