Using creativity as a catalyst for support, connection, and community rebuilding.
The Art of Returning is a fundraising art auction created to support recovery and rebuilding efforts in Jamaica following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, especially in rural communities in Trelawny that have struggled to access aid.
This event brings together art, community, and purpose. Through the auctioning of original artworks, we aim to raise funds that will go directly toward repairing my former primary school and distributing essential supplies to affected families in surrounding areas.
Why This Is Important
As a Jamaican artist living abroad, watching the destruction unfold from a distance has been deeply painful. Returning home is not just a personal journey, it's a responsibility. The communities that shaped me need help, and this auction is the first step in a long-term commitment to support relief efforts on the ground.
Local charities and government agencies are doing everything they can, but the scale of the damage has stretched resources thin. This fundraiser will bring direct, accountable, community-centered support where it’s needed most.
How Your Support Helps
Funds raised will go toward:
Repairing structural damage at the Daniel Town Primary (Trelawny)

70% of each artwork sold goes directly to relief efforts.
30% covers production and material costs.
