Stichting Ackee Seed is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website. We are registered in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

We may collect the following personal data when you interact with our website or communicate with us:

Contact information: your name and email address, if you complete a contact form or sign up for updates.

Donation-related data:  if you donate through GoFundMe, your data is collected and processed by GoFundMe in accordance with their own privacy policy. We may receive your name and the amount donated.

Usage data: basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and how you navigate the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6).

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, financial details, or national identification numbers.

Why We Collect It and Our Legal Basis

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:

• Contact form data: up to 12 months unless an ongoing relationship exists

• Donor records: 7 years, in accordance with Dutch financial record-keeping requirements

• Newsletter/update subscriptions: until you unsubscribe

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the website and communications (such as our website platform, Squarespace)

• GoFundMe, where donations are processed, subject to their own privacy policy

• Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law

All service providers are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR.

Our website uses cookies (small files stored on your device), to help the site function and to understand how visitors use it.
