Who We’ve Worked With
We are building a growing network of partners, collaborators, and friends of Jamaica from diaspora organisations and cultural institutions to consulates and community groups.
-
An Amsterdam-based non-profit dedicated to producing, programming, and promoting Caribbean and Caribbean-themed cinema across the Netherlands. With a mission rooted in amplifying Caribbean cultural expression, Caribbean Creativity is a natural creative ally for Ackee Seed’s work at the intersection of culture and community.
-
A relief network established in response to Hurricane Melissa, bringing together the Jamaica Belgian Consulate, represented by Ambassador Diedre Mills, alongside businesses, members of the Jamaican diaspora, and friends of Jamaica across the Benelux region. United by a shared commitment to Jamaica’s recovery and development.
-
Located in the Daniel Town District of Trelawny, Jamaica, Daniel Town Primary School holds a special place in the heart of Ackee Seed Foundation, it is the alma mater of our founder, Karla King. Affected by Hurricane Melissa, the school became one of our first and most meaningful partnerships. Our collaboration includes a financial donation, a creative programme with students, and a commitment to a long-term relationship built on trust, care, and shared investment in the community.
-
A dual Jamaica-Netherlands national and independent development consultant with over 20 years of experience across the Caribbean. Jan specialises in programme evaluation, development communication, strategic planning, and humanitarian aid and has worked with organisations including Habitat for Humanity, Lutheran World Federation, and Norwegian Church Aid. He has been an invaluable advisor and connector for Ackee Seed’s work in Jamaica.
