Team Lead
Ackee Seed Foundation is growing, and we’re looking for a Communications Team Lead to help shape how our work is shared with the world.
This is a volunteer role for someone who believes in thoughtful storytelling, community-centered work, and the power of clear communication in social impact initiatives.
The Role
As Communications Team Lead, you’ll help guide how we communicate across platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency, and care in how our work is presented.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys:
Building communication structures from the ground up
Translating complex work into accessible language
Working collaboratively with a small, committed team
Responsibilities
Oversee foundation communications (website, newsletters, social media)
Help shape content strategy and tone
Coordinate with the founder and collaborators on updates
Support documentation of initiatives and partnerships
Occasionally assist with announcements and calls to action
What we’re looking for
Background or interest in communications, media, journalism, marketing, or storytelling
Experience with digital platforms (social media, newsletters, websites)
Alignment with community-focused and ethical storytelling
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Availability of a few hours per week
This role is volunteer-based, with flexibility and room to grow alongside the foundation.
